i2 announces the 2007 Excellence Awards winners

Dubai, June 3, 2008. In line with its 15th year of success, i2 recently held a management meeting in Vienna Austria, offering senior personalities the opportunity to discuss the company’s growth strategy for the coming year. Later in the evening, i2 announced the winners of the 2007 Excellence Awards, a token of i2’s appreciation for the high performance and achievements undertaken by the team during 2007.

On this occasion, Abdul Hameed Al Sunaid commented: “Dedication leads to success and what we are witnessing today is proof of our excellence in the industry. Today I can proudly say that we have reached a distinctive stage, a stage of leadership and unsurpassed professionalism”.

“I also would like to congratulate the winners of the 2007 Excellence awards. i2’s team resides at the top of our priorities, 2007 was indeed a great success for all of us and the Awards presented are a token of our gratitude for the team’s expertise and loyalty to i2. In addition, I want to praise Amar Al Kadhi, Executive VP and Board member for his contribution to i2’s success” added Al Sunaid.

The winners of the 2007 Excellence Awards were as follows: the CEO Award, which is based on the Best Country Performance, was given to i2 Egypt; the Leadership Award was shared by Mohammad Nagy, MD i2 Egypt and Abdul Ghaffar Adib, MD i2 Kuwait,

i2’s Corporate Marketing Team, won the Squad Award for Best department. The President Award for Best Employee was presented to Sarah Azadegan from i2 Iran for the MENA region and Jamal Makhloufa from i2 Tunisia for the African region.

Finally the Excellence Award for Unusual Achievement was presented to Ahmad Issam from i2 Iraq.

“i2 heavily invests to get the most qualified individuals which are an integral part of our growth. 2008’s first quarter was a period marked with great realizations and the future will only be a permanent reflection of the success we are witnessing today,” said Al Sunaid.

While in Vienna, i2 attended Nokia’s Yearly Distributor meeting, whereby distributors are invited to share with them the 2007 results, discuss the 2008 strategy forward and announce best performing distributors in their respective regions. This year i2 Syria was recognized as the best performing distributor for the Levant Market. “We are pleased to have received this award from Nokia. It is our vision to evolve i2 in an industry leader and to become one of the top 3 global telecom players in 5 years. Every success pushes the company closer to our goal and motivates the team,” concluded Al Sunaid.
